BONSERNEWS.com – Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem, a scholar who is popular on TikTok because of his sarcastic and funny answers, is conducting da’wah in cities in Indonesia.
The da’wah visit of Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem was held from 16 July to 22 July 2023 and was initiated by Real Masjid (former name Muslim United), an organization of young people in Yogyakarta who like to prosper mosques.
During his visit to Indonesia, Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem will stop by in Jakarta, Yogyakarta, Malang, Bandung and Medan according to the announcement on Real Masjid’s official Instagram, @musliunited.official.

1. Lives in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, although he often preaches to various Islamic countries
In a video uploaded on the Lumea Islamica YouTube account, Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem once explained that he currently resides in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem admits that he used to be the imam of a mosque in Jeddah about 10 years ago, but he is unable to do so anymore due to time constraints.
“It’s a job that requires dedication and loyalty and unfortunately I don’t have enough time for that, so I can only give sermons every Friday prayer,” he said.
Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem also said that Jeddah was not the city where he was born and raised.

The city where he was born and raised is Khobar, a city he calls an oil-producing city in Saudi Arabia.
“I grew up there (Khobar, red) until I was 12 years old and then our family moved to the western province of Saudi Arabia,” explained the man who was born on November 23, 1962.
“I grew up like other children. Going to school, making friends, playing and everything is like a normal day,” he explained.
